InstaWP 3.0 is here and is one of our biggest updates yet. We’ve given the entire platform a fresh look and packed it with powerful features that streamline your workflow.
From a completely redesigned dashboard interface to improved migration options and crucial fixes (especially for our WaaS users), there’s much to cover.
Let’s dive into the details of what’s new and improved in InstaWP 3.0.
What’s New?
#1 – A Fresh UI & Better Navigation
InstaWP 3.0 greets you with a completely revamped user interface, giving the dashboard a fresh, modern look. The design now features a sleek new header and a smarter navigation system with dual sidebars.
The main sidebar still houses your primary menus, while a second sidebar appears on detail pages to provide quick links and context-specific actions for whatever you’re working on.

We’ve also tidied up the menu structure by merging Staging and Hosting sites under a single Sites menu, so all your projects are accessible in one place.

To top off the UI enhancements, a subtle new skeleton loader now shows up while pages load, ensuring you never face a blank screen during transitions.

#2 – New Sub-menu Views and Site Description
InstaWP 3.0 also introduces better ways to view and organize your site information.
There’s a brand new Site Dashboard details page that displays all the key information about each site at a glance, making it easier to oversee multiple projects. You can even add a short description for each site now; these descriptions appear in both the site list and on the site’s detail page, perfect for reminding yourself of each site’s purpose or status.
#3 – Connects is now Managed
If you’re using our Connect plugin, you’ll notice that sites on the Connects tab are now labeled as Managed. It is categorized as Advanced and Basic, instantly showing which connected sites have full InstaWP functionality enabled and which are using a basic connection.

#4 – Uptime Notifications Toggle
To give you more control over alerts, we’ve introduced a new toggle for uptime notifications — so you can decide which sites should send you uptime alerts and which can stay quiet.

#5 – Ability to Migrate via SSH
You can now use our WordPress migration tool for SSH Migration. This method is especially handy for larger sites or environments where traditional migration methods might time out, as it ensures your data moves securely with minimal hiccups.

#6 – Ability to pause managed site reports scheduling.
We’ve added the ability to pause the scheduling of managed site reports whenever you need. If you don’t want to receive periodic site reports for a while, simply hit pause on that site’s reports and resume when you’re ready to get those insights again.

Improvements
#1 – Smoother User Experience
In addition to new features, we’ve polished the overall InstaWP experience to make it even more seamless. The interface and workflows have been optimized for a more cloud-native feel, which means the app is now snappier and more intuitive to use.
We’ve also streamlined certain processes: for instance, the template verification step and the password email have been merged into one.
Now, when you spin up a new site from a template, you receive a single combined email (with both the verification link and the password) instead of two separate messages cluttering your inbox.
Even the empty states — those screens you see when there’s no data to display — have been given some love; they now offer clearer guidance and a friendlier design to help you get started on your next task.
#2 – Account & Resource Handling
On the account management front, InstaWP now handles expired plans more cleanly. Any resources linked to an expired subscription plan will be automatically deactivated once the plan ends. This way, there’s no confusion or unintended access to features or sites beyond what your active plan allows. It’s a small improvement that keeps things tidy and ensures your resources stay in line with your subscription status.
WaaS-Related Fixes
We’ve resolved several issues that were affecting our WaaS (Website-as-a-Service) users.
First up, if you tried to create a hosting site from a WaaS demo site before, you might have hit a snag — that’s now been fixed, and the process works as expected.
We also squashed a pricing bug where the WaaS plan price was incorrectly showing as $0; it will now display the correct price on the plans page.
Additionally, any trial staging sites from WaaS accounts will no longer linger on your Staging tab once their trial period is over, keeping your workspace clean and relevant to active sites. These fixes ensure the WaaS experience in InstaWP 3.0 is far more stable and predictable.
To summarize:
- Hosting site creation from the WaaS demo site has been fixed.
- The WaaS plan price, which was showing $0, has been fixed.
- WaaS trial staging sites won’t appear on the Staging tab anymore.
General Improvements & Bugs Squashed
InstaWP 3.0 addresses some other important issues that need to be addressed to make the platform more reliable and secure for everyone.
We fixed a problem with user proration calculations when a subscription is canceled, so any billing adjustments (credits or charges) are now handled correctly and transparently.
Our migration tool received some improvements as well: a bug with SSL support in Pull Migration has been resolved, meaning pulling a site over HTTPS works without a hitch now. And in the interest of security, we’ve removed the file manager from the InstaWP Connect plugin’s helper tools, closing a potential vulnerability in the system.
With all these fixes, InstaWP 3.0 runs smoother and safer than ever, letting you focus on building and testing your WordPress sites worry-free.
Conclusion
InstaWP 3.0 is a milestone release that elevates your WordPress development workflow. With a vibrant new interface, handy new features, and a host of improvements and fixes, this update has something for everyone. We can’t wait for you to explore the new InstaWP.
