What’s New in InstaWP 2.54.0?
#1 – RunCloud Hosting Connection Update – Action Required!
RunCloud is shifting to v3 of its API, deprecating v2 (soon). For the same reason, we have added an option for our users to edit the API key.
If you’re using RunCloud with InstaWP, you must update your API key to maintain a seamless connection. We’ve already sent an email to affected users with detailed instructions—make sure to update as soon as possible to avoid disruptions.

#2 – A Dedicated Staging per InstaWP Live
Yup, we know it’s big.
With native staging site creation now available for InstaWP Live, you can clone your live site into a safe testing environment with a single click. It’s a fundamental shift in how you host and manage WordPress sites hosted with InstaWP Live.

As we are soon shifting to a Pay-per-Use Pricing Model, this feature will enhance the cost-convenience of our platform and simplify development and testing. At the same time, it will bring enterprise-level workflow flexibility to every InstaWP Live user.
#3 – API Key Editing for 3rd-Party Hosting Connections
Not just for RunCloud, you can now edit API keys for all your hosting servers connected to InstaWP. So, no more deleting and re-adding hosting connections just to change an API key!
This update allows editing of API keys for existing third-party hosting connections, making hosting integrations more flexible and manageable.
#4 – New InstaWP Export/Import Format
We are putting much effort into improving our platform. And with so many people using the import/export feature, we thought there is a need for easy site transfer between teams or people.

So, a fresh export/import format has been introduced, improving site portability and backup efficiency.
This implies, you can now import and export WordPress sites in InstaWP’s format while transferring your site between 2 accounts or teams. This ensures better compatibility with different setups and makes moving sites across environments even easier.
#5 – Multiple Orgs Support for Server Avatar
Server Avatar users can now manage multiple organizations and all servers within a single account.
Once you select your ServerAvatar account on the Hosting page in our dashboard, you’ll see a new dropdown enlisting all your ServerAvatar servers. Choose the one, and we will load all your WordPress sites from this server, simplifying management and maintenance significantly.

#6 – Magic Login Defaults for Connected Sites
Admins managing multiple connected sites now have more control over how Magic Login works for their team. Instead of manually selecting a login user every time, they can now set a default Magic Login User for their connected sites. This eliminates extra steps and makes logging into client sites, staging sites, or internal projects instant and hassle-free.
You can edit this setting for any sites managed with InstaWP from the Manage > Users page.

#7 – WaaS API Enhancements
More details (including Templates, Hosting Plans, and Configuration settings) are now available via the WaaS API. This makes it easier to manage WaaS-based services programmatically.
Besides the above, we have added a toggle for Public/Private mode in the WaaS Options modal.

The “Generate Link” button is now more accessible. You can find it right after clicking the Private Mode option for your WaaS.

As you can see, Modal titles now display “Private WaaS” for better clarity.

And finally, Webhooks have been replaced with direct API calls for improved reliability.

Key Improvements
Faster, More Responsive Dashboard
Static assets now load from a global CDN, significantly improving dashboard speed and responsiveness. Navigation and interactions are now much snappier.
Improved Plugin/Themes Page Error Handling
When installing plugins or themes, incorrect slugs will now trigger an error message, saving time and reducing confusion.

Performance & Security Scanner Tooltip Updates
Tooltips for the Security and Performance scans of your site (on the Connects) page will now display the last scan date in order to provide better context for security and performance checks, improving site monitoring.

Other Improvements
- Duplicate image uploads are now prevented during sync operations, improving efficiency.
- Refactored uptime monitoring logic enhances validation and error handling.
- Additional user validation checks further strengthen uptime monitoring reliability.
Bug Fixes
We’ve tackled several issues to enhance platform stability and user experience. A few examples are:
- Faster Sales Menu in Template Monetization UI
- KYC Error on Payout Page Resolved
- 2-Way Sync Stability Improvements
- Export/Import UI Fixes
- Hosting Site & Subscription Count Fixes
These fixes address performance improvements, UI refinements, and error resolutions to ensure smoother workflows. These updates will make managing templates, payouts, and site syncs more seamless and reliable.
